“Improve” quietly concedes you already have contact — this Step is about signal strength. And the “praying only” clause retires the old prayer style: the cosmic order form, the list of outcomes. What’s left is two requests: show me, and give me the strength for it. Members who pray this way report a strange side effect — the day stops feeling like something happening to them.
